Suspect arrested in fatal stabbing in Pendleton; Victim's name released
PENDLETON, Ore.-- Pendleton Police arrest a suspect in a fatal stabbing and release the name of the victim.
23-year old Manuel "Manny" Nomee of Pendleton was killed Sunday. Monday night, 19-year old Waylon James Speedis was found on I-82 in Pendleton and arrested. No word yet from the Umatilla County District Attorney on what charges Speedis will face.
Two other teenagers were previously taken into custody. Nomee was an American-Indian. Tribal elders believe the stabbing may have been because of clothing colors.
