KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Which Tri-City American would wear the big 'C' for the Ams this season? Thursday, that question was answered. Ams defenseman Jarrett Toll is the team's new captain.
Toll is one of the Americans three 20-year-olds and will be playing in his fifth season with Tri-City.The Ams open their season Saturday against Kelowna at the Toyota Center.
"It's a great feeling to be selected as the leader," said Toll.
"We just kept coming back to him," said Ams Head Coach Jim Hiller. "He's been here 5 years. and he's given everything he's got since he was 16 years old. It's his last year and he's just really somebody that the other players look up to and respect. That's the most important part of a captain."
