KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Unless, you are Forrest Gump you probably don't like running long distances.
The Kamiakin Braves love the distance and are one of the best in the nation at covering it.
The Braves Cross-Country Team has been ranked as high as 15th in the country this season y Milesplit.com and has hovered around 3rd and 4th in the state since the start of the season.
"It's nice for me as a coach for them to see that if they work hard good things can happen," said Kamiakin Coach Matt Rexus. "And so we are trying to avoid sickness and injury and we're hoping when we get to the last day at the state meet that we can at least say we had as good
"It almost seems weird sometimes," said Kamiakin Senior Evan Fiske. "These guys I've been hanging out with for 4 years are like nationally or state ranked. It's a weird feeling but it's a lot of fun."
