Potato truck rolls over on hill hear Kiona

SOUTH OF KIONA, Wash.--  A scary moment for a truck driver Monday morning, after he drove off the road, up a hill, then rolled over.  It happened just after 7:30 a.m. on Webber Canyon road, near Dennis Rd., south of Kiona.

Benton County Sheriff's Deputies say 42-year-old Gustavo Bustamante was driving a semi-truck full of potatoes when he drove off the road and up on the side of the canyon.  Deputies say Bustamante was taken to Kadlec Regional Medical Center with lacerations to the head and possible facial fractures.

Tow truck drivers had to carefully pull the truck down so it didn't roll onto the road below.  They say the potatoes may have been the only thing holding the truck up.  Webber Canyon Rd. was closed for several hours while crews pulled the truck down.

The cause of the accident is still under investigation.
