Yakima School District employees want feedback on new school plans
YAKIMA, Wash.- More than 80 people showed up to give feedback on Eisenhower High School's new construction plans.
The plans are part of the school bond that passed last spring.
Students, families and community members were able to share their ideas.
Yakima School District employees will now pass this information on to the planners. Some comments included seeing the school made green and more efficient and large enough to accommodate all the students.
"They want to make it open, make it available, but make it safe and I think the architect showed some pictures of other schools he's involved with and all that can happen," said Mary Beth Wright from the Yakima School District.
If you missed Tuesday night's meeting you can contact the school district to share feedback. There's also another meeting Thursday night in Spanish. It will begin at 6:30 p-m at the Washington Middle School Commons.
