AAA of Washington and N. Idaho kicks off "Soap for Hope" campaign
AAA of Washington and Northern Idaho is launched its annual "Soap for Hope" donation drive for charities across the state Thursday asking communities to give back in small doses.
The purpose of the drive is to collect items that are in high demand but often are not donated to local charities. In Yakima, the toiletry items collected will go to Union Gospel Mission and Domestic Violence Treatment Services of Franklin County will receive donations collected in the Tri-Cities. Last year, 30,000 items were collected across the region.
Soap, shampoo, conditioner, toothpaste, brushes, razors, shaving cream, and deodorant will all be collected at AAA offices in Washington and Northern Idaho.
AAA Yakima is located at 2301 W. Nob Hill Blvd., Suite 1. The Tri-Cities office of the association is on 6502 W. Grandridge Blvd., Suite G in Kennewick.
All locations will collect items during normal business hours, 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
