Students help raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness month
It's breast cancer servivor day and students from all around the area are helping raise money for Breast Cancer Awareness month.
Today we caught up with some students from South Ridge High who were serving free donuts and drinks at Safeway. They chose to team up with Safeway which has raised 60 million dollars nationwide towards breast cancer research over the past seven years. Students say they hope to contribute eight thousand dollars.
"This is a time we look forward to so much all year and we just love getting to help towards a bigger cause and be apart of that," South Ridge High student Gabrielle Perez said.
On Wednesday at 7pm the schools and community will come together to 'link' for a cure by linking hands across the Blue Bridge and the west side of the Cable Bridge.
