Steel door no match for burglars

YAKIMA--Police are looking for whoever broke through a steel door to take cars and cash from an auto detailing shop.

Pro Clean Auto Detail doesn't have a security system, but they'll look into getting one after Saturday.

Favian Solario came into work around 7:00 a.m. to find the shop's back door opened and two cars missing.

The door's made entirely of steel, with two deadbolts and the standard door lock.  It appears someone broke off the doorknob, then smashed the lower half of the door enough to make a dent large enough to sneak through.

Solario knew something was up when they saw the shop's garage door partly open.

"I came in here, realized one of the cars was missing," Solario said.  "I looked over at the door back there and broken."

Police said the thieves also took equipment worth roughly $5,000.

The stolen cars are a black Dodge Dakota pickup truck, license plate number B11804E and a green Infiniti SUV.

The cars were from a local dealer, that's why the SUV did not have a license plate.

If you see those cars or have any information, call Yakima police.
