Stevens County Deputies arrest husband in homicide investigating
MARCUS, Wash. - A Sgt. with the Stevens County Sheriff's Office has confirmed to KHQ that a Marcus resident has been arrested after he told authorities he shot and killed his wife. Authorities say on Saturday just before 5 p.m. they received a call from Craig Cosby, who told dispatchers that he had killed his wife.
When deputies arrived on at Cosby's home they found Cosby's wife Susan dead from a gunshot wound. Cosby was arrested and has been booked into the Stevens County Jail charged with his wife's murder.
Cosby should be making his first appearance in a Stevens County courtroom on Monday.
Neighbors told KHQ the Cosbys have lived in their home in Marcus for well over a decade.
Marcus is Located about four miles north of Kettle Falls along Hwy. 25 in Stevens County.
The Stevens County Sheriff's Office is expected to release more details in this case within the next 24 hours.
