Kennewick, WA- The Benton County prosecutor is raising the question whether a woman accused of murder is mentally fit to defend herself.
Phien Sisouvahn has been in county jail since july of 2008. She's accused of murdering a woman in Columbia Park and cutting the woman's unborn fetus from her womb.
Today her attorney had to tell the judge, "'I'm simply not ready to go to trial (this month) because of matters out of my control."
Dan arnold says he can't get specific because of attorney-client confidentiality, but Sisouvahn's erratic behavior has caused delays in the past year.
The judge has called all parties back to court next week when he could decide to bring in psychiatrists to examine Sisouvahn's mental state.
