The Ams are Back in Town

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The Tri-City Americans are finally back on home ice.

The Ams are back at the Toyota Center for practice today after a 3-game road trip in which they went 3 and 0.

On the year, the Ams are 6 and 2 and are undefeated on the Toyota Center ice.

Plus, the team has allowed the 2nd fewest goals in the WHL and Brendan Shinnimin is 5th in the league in scoring. That's quite the lethal combination.

With all that said, the Ams are glad to be back home but are happy with their road trip.

"What's been the strength of our team is we are getting contributions throughout the lineup," said Ams Head Coach Jim Hiller. "When you go on the road you are a band of brothers in a hostile rink, so we kind of take that kind of approach and that mentality."

"We just got to get rid of this road trip, we got a little bit of bus legs going," said Ams Captain Jarrett Toll. "So, we're out here today to get the rust off. We got to be ready to play tomorrow. Prince Albert is a good team. We're on a little bit of a win streak and we want to keep that going."

The Ams and Prince Albert Friday at 7:05pm.
