Construction begins on sidewalk outside Yakima County Courthouse
YAKIMA, Wash. - Construction started Monday on the sidewalk in front of the county courthouse blocking off parts of N. 2nd Ave. for up to two months.
The project will allow for ADA access on the sidewalk as well as six ADA parking spots on the east entrance of the courthouse. During construction, visitors should use the building's north entrance on MLK Boulevard.
The sidewalk runs in between "A" St. and MLK on N. 2nd Ave. The street will become one-way temporarily; it will only be open to northbound traffic. The city is asking anyone planning to be in the area during construction to use alternative routes.
The project is scheduled to last through the of the year. For more information, contact Yakima County Public Services at 574-2300.
