KENNEWICK, Wash. -- The 4A Football playoffs start Friday. And one of those games is a cross-town battle between the 8th seeded Kennewick Lions and 3rd-seeded Kamiakin Braves at Lampson Stadium at 8pm.
The Braves are on a bit of a hot streak with three straight wins but the Lions come in having won their last game against the Pasco Bulldogs.
The two teams can't wait to face each other Friday night.
"I know with this team we got here," said Kamiakin Head Coach Scott Biglin. "This is the biggest game in our 30 years with this rivalry so hopefully we can come out on top and have a story that has a good ending for us, not a bad ending."
"The last few years we've had a couple overtime games, a couple playoff games," said Kennewick Head Coach Bill Templeton. "It's always a good rivalry and both teams are going to play hard and we hope to compete well [Friday]."
