YAKIMA--After five murders in the past month, four of them considered gang-related, Yakima police look to beef up their presence again.
Police say gang violence plummeted when extra officers hit the streets on emphasis patrols in August and September.
But, the violence returned, and that's sent city leaders back to the drawing board.
Police say grants will pay for another round of emphasis patrols.
They'll meet this week to decide when and how to schedule the patrols.
