It was a busy night for police and deputies during the Halloween holiday, especially in Oregon, where troopers reported 31 DUI arrests.
The arrests came after police launched a special campaign for the start of the holiday season with the slogan "Over the limit...Under arrest."
Over in Yakima police say they were up five DUI arrests from last year.
In the Tri-Cities, Franklin County deputies spent the night dealing with a couple of DUI arrests as well, along with several other traffic offenses that lead to arrest.
Franklin County Sheriff's Corporal Thomasson says the holiday season means more deputies will be watching the roads.
"We will be concentrating on DUI's," he said. "They kill people more during the holiday season than any other time of the year."
Thomasson also says they expect to keep extra deputies on patrol until January 2010.
