YAKIMA, Wash. -- Yakima Valley law enforcement offers are showing their support for fallen Seattle police officer, Tim Brenton.
Brenton was shot and killed October 31st after he and an officer in training completed a traffic stop. A car pulled up beside the officers and opened fire. Brenton was hit and died instantly.
The bands of black over the badge are a symbol of solidarity.
The Yakima Police Department's color guard will be heading to Seattle for Brenton's memorial. Law enforcement from all over the state are expected to attend Friday's services. It's being held in the Key Arena to accomidate all the people.
The Seattle Police Officers Guild says the reward for information to help catch the killer of Officer Brenton has grown to $85,000. They still have no new information on a suspect or a motive in the shooting.
