YAKIMA--Hundreds of Harleys cruised the streets of Yakima Sunday, collecting toys for young kids.
Close to 400 riders took part in the annual "Hog Toy Run," strapping all sorts of toys to their bikes to donate to families in need.
These bikers' donations will help ensure each family celebrates the holidays.
"A lot of families come [to the Yakima women's shelter] in crisis mode and a lot of kids are being taken away from their homes and staying somewhere else," YWCA Executive Director Erin Black said. "To bring Christmas to them every year is extremely important in terms of their health and safety."
The toys will go families staying at the Yakima women's shelter, along with other families in the community going through tough times.
