Son arrested for breaking into and burglarizing father's home
KENNEWICK, Wash. -- An 18-year-old man is in jail after police say he broke into his father's home and burglarized it.
Kennewick police say Adam Stephens is suspected of stealing cash, a gaming unit and a revolver from his father, Michael Stephens's home on Deschutes Avenue.
It happened November 5th. The elder Stephens called officers for a residential burglary, but after finding no forced entry, he felt his son may have been involved.
Officers found the stolen gun in some bushes on the 11th, and contacted Adam for an interview that day. They discovered Adam was the only burglar. He was booked into the Benton County Jail for 1st degree burglary.
