YAKIMA, Wash.-- A group of around 80 Yakima School District employees showed up at Tuesday nights school board meeting. They're pressing the board for a contract settlement.
Five different groups with Yakima Educators United were on hand to voice their concerns with the board. The five classified units have been working without a new contract since September 1st. The group hopes their presence will push the school board to reach an agreement.
School board members are not allowed to comment on current contract negotiations.
