Eisenhower: Perfect No More

Posted: Updated:

A week ago Eisenhower's perfect season nearly came to a crashing halt against Southridge.  IKE escaped though with a six point victory.  In the 4-A quarterfinals, perfection tested yet again, this time against Ferris.

Early on IKE trailing 10 to nothing, until James Lopez runs in the score to cut the lead to three.

Ferris responds with a strike of their own.  Gage Orosco knocking the wind out of the Patriots sails, to extend the lead to ten again with his touchdown scamper.

IKE not willing to go down without a fight.  Isaac Sarate takes it forty five yards, and once again its a three point ball game, with the score 17-14.

Unfortunately that's as close as the Pats would get, as Connor Halliday hits Jordan Tonani for the big strike.

Ferris on the road wins 24 to 14.  After the game coach reflects about a missed opportunity.

Dan Eyman said, "You know what just like they have all year they were going to fight back...and you now we made a couple quick strikes and we turned around a gave them the big play right back.  And Ferris is a good football team...when you do that to a good football team your not gonna come out on the positive end of it too many times."
