People often say the Tri-Cities has always been a windy city but today everyone received another taste of how damaging winds can truly be, especially when they reached gusts as high as 60 miles per hour.
As winds reached such high speeds today the National Weather Service issued a wind advisory, telling everyone in the Tri-Cities to take precautions by locking up items outside, then staying indoors until tough winds ease.
"It effects everybody," Elizabeth Smith from Benton County Emergency Services said. "You've got your wind-chill, it's colder and you can't really do anything outside. So it's best to stay inside and wait it out."
