Kennewick, WA- Students at Kamiakin High School have outdone themselves.
Students turned over to Second Harvest Today 2,891 pounds of food, beating last year's school food drive by 30 pounds.
Students in Deca and freshmen orientation classes organized the food drive.
Even before the weigh-in, Kamiakin senior Sedale Garcia was pretty confident he and his classmates broke last year's record. "By the looks of it, it looks like we beat it. So we'll be feeding a lot of families."
