2 men wounded in Everett shootout

EVERETT, Wash. (AP) - Two men have been wounded in a shootout at an Everett home.

Police say they responded to the single family residence about 1 a.m. Tuesday and found a 23-year-old with multiple wounds. He said he had been shot by an intruder but was able to get his gun and fire back.

The 23-year-old was taken to Everett Providence Hospital with what appear to be non-life threatening injuries.

With the help of a dog, police tracked and found another wounded man in bushes across the street from the house. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle with serious injuries.

Police are still investigating.
