Cougs Get Ready for the Apple Cup!

SEATTLE, Wash. -- The Cougs are going with experience in this weekend's Apple Cup. Senior Quarterback Kevin Lopina will make his second straight start for Washington State on Saturday at Husky Stadium.

Lopina was the hero of last year's Apple Cup, when he rallied the Cougars to an overtime win. He is excited about the start this weekend.

"I mean, it's the Apple Cup and it's my senior year," said Lopina. Last year, we had that double overtime win so you know, hopefully I can go out 2-0 against the Huskies."

"It's pretty easy after a while to follow this game if you have been exposed to it," said Coug Head Coach Paul Wulff. "Just the intensity, the history, the tradition of it and the memories that people have of certain years. I think everybody that goes every year, they're going to come away with a memory they'll never forget."
