Kennewick, WA- Hapo Community Credit Union has gone shopping for the Coats for Kids campaign.
Today Hapo workers brought a check from the credit union to the JC Penney coats department.
The Hapo shoppers scoured the boys and girls sections for coats of all sizes and styles.
Hapo Community Relations Director Ron Hue says the shoppers had a pretty good chunk of change to work with.
"We have one thousand dollars we're spending on coats, so hopefully we can get some kids covered up and get them warm for the holidays."
Combined with a generous discount from JC Penney, Hapo's donation bought about 40 winter coats, along with scarves, gloves and mittens.
