Americans drop back to back games at home

Posted: Updated:

Sometimes its best just to move on and not dwell on losses.  The Americans had no choice after Friday's loss to Spokane (4-1), not with Everett knocking on the door ready to rumble Saturday night.  The Ams clearly had to pick up the pieces, and find a way to bounce back, and fast.

The Americans were hoping Drew Owsley could turn into a brick wall, after giving up four goals the night before.  He didn't fair much better Saturday.

Jay McGrath went blue line to blue line, and fired a wrister right past Owsley for the first goal of the evening.  Owsley on the night allowed five goals before being pulled in the third period.

McGrath would strike again in the first by firing one the gets deflected into the glass, and ends up back in front of the net.  He punches it in from close range for his second goal of the night.

The Americans lose back to back games at home for the first time all season, losing by a final 6-1.
