YAKIMA--A 19-year-old Yakima man is recovering after being hurt in a gang-related shooting Thursday afternoon.
Police were called to the 200 block of South Naches Avenue shortly before 3:00 p.m Thursday.
They didn't find anyone there, just shell casings from two different handguns.
Police say these homes aren't typical gang hangouts.
They're not sure what sparked the violence.
"All I know is there [were] two different colors seen running from the scene in two different directions," Lt. Nolan Wentz, Yakima Police Department, said.
Officers caught up with the victim at Memorial Hospital.
He was shot once in the arm. The bullet then exited his arm, went into his torso and exited through his lower back.
The injuries are not considered life-threatening.
The victim is a known gang member.
Police are still searching for suspects.
