Without question these next two weeks are critical for Big Nine High Schools. Each one is trying to figure out which level to compete in. Like 2-A...3-A or 4-A. In the Big Nine, many teams like south ridge and Kamiakin are on the fence. So we spoke to the two local Athletic Directors, to give us their take on the situation.
Southridge Athletic Director Ken Murray said, "You know there is a lot think about. It's not only success on the field, but its your scheduling, your costs. The gates you are able to bring in against the people you are competing against. If we could be in something where we play a lot of the teams in the Tri City area. That's a pretty scenario."
Kamiakin Athletic Director Don Schumacher said, "If we're 3A then there's always that opportunity to play 3A or opt up. And our coaches across the board are 50, 50."
By December 15th, schools districts must reach a decision on what classification for their athletes to compete in.
