Posted: Updated:

Today marks the beginning of National Hand Washing Awareness Week.

Kennewick General Hospital is asking people to recognize the importance of the hand washing ritual during this flu season. You've heard it before and you're sure to hear it again, doctors say wash your hands after coughing or sneezing and before and after eating.

*Upcoming H1N1 Vaccine clinics*

*The Benton Franklin Health District is hosting an H1N1 clinic beginning this Wednesday for high risk groups. It is free of charge and if you want a vaccine an appointment needs to be made.

*For everyone 6-months and older living in Kittitas County, you can get a dose of the H1N1 vaccine next weekend at the Kittitas Valley Event Center at the County Fairgrounds. 15-hundred doses are expected to be available and it is free of charge.
