Pasco, Wash.-- They got the money after applying for recovery act funds and their funding is part of nearly six hundred million dollars given to community health centers across the country.
La Clinica has received over nine million dollars in federal funding in the past year. They'll use the money to build a brand new thirty thousand square foot complex across the street to deliver even more services.
They hope to have the new building within two years. It will allow for more rooms for patient care, especially for dental care, which they say will see an increase in services by forty percent.
If not for the funding, La Clinica says it would take years to raise this kind of money.
