Ben Franklin Transit driver retires after 25 years

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. - She has been providing a service to the community for over 25 years but now she is handing over the keys. Her name is Pauline hall. Hall has been driving busses for Ben Franklin Transit since 1984 and now she's ready to retire.

Hall was recognized by BFT for her outstanding leadership throughout the years. If you add it up Hall has driven over two million miles but she says now is the time to relax. She says its been great driving the community around and is really going to miss all of the people. "The best part of being a driver are you passengers. You get to become friends with them. You get to watch their kids grow up. I'm running into people everyday now that are surprised iI'mnot driving anymore," said Hall.

Now that she's retired Hall's main goal is to travel. In fact, she has already purchased some travel books and plans on taking a trip to see her family in Georgia. This time she'll be flying.

Dalve Covel is another retiree receiving recognition. Covel worked for Ben Franklin Transit for 22 years but was unable to attend the meeting.
