PASCO, Wash. - Pasco Mayor Joyce Olsen made a proclamation for the City of Pasco. The mayor declared "Ag Week" January 4-8, 2010 to pay tribute to one of the largest industries in the state.
"Ag week" will also be during Pasco's annual Agriculture Trade show at the Trac. The event showcases new equipment, technology and seminars. Henry Johnson has been in the Agriculture business for many years and says this is quite an honor. He says agriculture is one of the key industries in Pasco and it's important to the people. "Agriculture is critical to the state but I think the area right around the Tri-Cities has a great growing season. We have abundant water, great fertile soil and a good sunny warm climate. It's even more important right here locally," said Johnson.
The Pasco Agriculture show will be held January 5, and 6 at the Trac.
