Local Murder-for-Hire Suspect Arrested in Kennewick
KENNEWICK, Wash. --Suspect, Soloman Luke Swanson wanted to kill a witness scheduled to testify in an upcoming drug trial. Swanson was arrested last night outside his Kennewick home.
He was already under investigation by the Tri-City Metro Drug Task Force when a citizen tipped off the Benton County Sheriff's Office with information about Swanson and his murder-for-hire plot. The information was enough to start an undercover investigation in which Swanson tried to hire an undercover contact for the job.
"The person involved happened to be the same individual the drug task force had a current investigation on already so that information was passed to them and they ran with it and found out it was legitimate and did an undercover investigation and made an arrest."
Tonight Swanson is in the Benton County Jail. Investigators are still looking to talk to other people about this murder for hire case. If you have any information regarding this case contact CrimeStoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS.
