Two Local Football Players Named Player of the Year
The Washington State Associated Press named its High School football Player's of the Year. Two area athletes took home that prestigious honor.
Connell's Matt Hadley was named the Associated Press' 1A Player of the Year. The talented running back led the Eagles to the state title this season. His big play making ability running the football and out of the backfield made him an easy choice.
Tri-Cities Prep's Will Hoppes was named the Associated Press' 1B Player of the Year. The Jags quarterback had an incredible in route to the school's first ever state title. He finished his career as a Jag with four 1B passing records. Two of which include the all-time mark for passing yards with 9,085 yards, along with 132 career TD passes.
