YAKIMA--Despite Christmas passing, business isn't slowing down for one Yakima winery.
Kana Winery saw double their usual Saturday afternoon crowd, with about three times as many sales.
They expect a larger crowd again Sunday.
Their owner's crediting the surge to several factors, including Christmas falling on a Friday and people getting ready for another upcoming holiday.
"I think people are shopping for New Year's beverages, and they're also showing their family a good product," Dr. Palmer Wright, owner of Kana Winery, said. "We have great wines in the Yakima Valley."
Wright said most of his customers this weekend are people visiting from out of town.
He's also getting help from several of his nearby competitors who took holiday vacations of their own.
