KENNEWICK, Wash;-- Car washes have been busy this holiday season, especially after the Tri-Cities welcomed an early snow an ice storm several weeks ago.
We talked with workers at the Autobahn Car Wash in Kennewick. They say after every ice storm cars flood in to wash off all the residue left behind. They also explain that they were packed with cars around Christmas and expect the same for new year's when people are traveling more.
"With the start of the new year, everybody is going out and doing things," Lacynda McGill who works at Autobahn said. "Everybody likes to have a clean car."
Other car washes in the Tri-Cities report high numbers this past week. They say traffic coming in often depends on the temperature outside. When it drops below 25-degrees people tend to wait for a car wash.
