Several Yakima Valley school districts receive energy improvement grants
YAKIMA, Wash. -- Some Yakima Valley Schools will soon be receiving grants for energy efficiency improvements.
The Office of Public Instruction picks the schools, with grant money going to school districts across the state. Grant funds are to be used for upgrades to heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems or replacement of outdated lighting.
Naches Valley School District is getting around $175,000, East Valley around $150,000 and Grandview $124,000.
