KENNEWICK, Wash.-- Teachers in Touchet have finally been paid for the month of December.
Contractually they were supposed to be paid on the 18th, but payroll reportedly was processed late with December 30th as the set pay date. The Touchet Educators Association is still moving forward with a grievance against superintendent Dan McDonald.
"We've asked for a public apology to the employees," says TEA member, Cathy Plucker. "We've asked for damages and for the district to pay for any legal fees that were incurred or late charges. And we've asked for interest on the missing money."
