PASCO, Wash - Despite the snow and ice Friday, many came out for the 2010 Pooch and Pal Run. Around 50 runners took off from the starting line New Year's morning at Pasco's Big Cross Course. All the money brought in by the event benefited Pet Over Population Prevention of Tri Cites. Overall attendance was down from last year, but that didn't stop the diehards.
"It's really Tri-Cities weather when it comes to winter. There is no way to actually get around it, eventually it's going to snow here so might as well have fun with it," explained Stuart Kretzschmar, who ran in the race.
Race officials say they raised over 400 dollars in donations.
