KENNEWICK, Wash;-- The Benton County Republican Party held campaign classes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today at the Lampson building in Kennewick.

17 people signed up to learn the nuts and bolts of the system, especially, how to plan, how to raise money, and overall how to execute a campaign strategy.

"This is a presentation for people who don't have any prior experience in politics and want to get a sense of what we're doing and how we do it," Benton County Republican Party's Patrick McBurney said.

McBurney also focused on campaign themes and messages people can consider when running for office this year.
