YAKIMA, Wash. -- A downed power line snarled traffic during lunch hour Monday at S. 1st Avenue and Nob Hill Boulevard.

Yakima firefighters responded to the call around 12-30pm.

"A power line fell and landed on an unoccupied van," said a representative with Pacific Power.

The power has been temporarily shut off to make repairs.

Yakima police said traffic lights at the intersection were out as of 4:28pm, and ask drivers to take alternate routes.

They say no one was injured.
