It's another busy night for city council meetings. Pasco mayor Joyce Olsen was re-elected last night, and tonight, it's up to the cities of Richland and Kennewick to choose theirs.
A time of change is what the Kennewick city council has faced recently and tonight we can expect even more.
"I hope we pick a mayor that represents not just the new council but the existing council and one that can bring consensus so that we don't have a split council, which doesn't do the city or residence any good," Kennewick council member Don Britain said.
"It'll be kind of interesting, I think, for everybody to see what direction they want to head," former Kennewick Mayor Tom Moak said.
The long time council member and former mayor of Kennewick says he's experienced situations like these before, where the word "change" is on the tip of everyone's tongue.
"I thought folks who were in ought to stay in because I thought we were doing a good job," Moak said. "But I think sometimes people do want to see a different slant on things."
Richland is also selecting a mayor tonight. Mayor John Fox says he isn't actively campaigning but will continue the position if elected.
