A new Farmer's Market could head to Kennewick this Spring
A new Farmer's Market could be heading to the Southridge Village area soon.
After three years of buildings and businesses popping up in the area, developer Dean Maldonado says it's time to bring more agriculture to Kennewick. He says incorporating a privately run market has been in the works for years but he decided to wait until more buildings were established to help bring people to the village.
"There's a huge abundance of agriculture here in this region, whether it be wine, cherries or apples, it's a huge market out here and that's one of the markets we feel should be an integrated part in our development," Maldonado says.
Maldonado says a group of farmers are set to begin the market this spring.
