Wineries change things up during Winter

Posted: Updated:

Even during the cold months of Winter, wineries are finding ways to bring in people from all over the area.

We talked with local wineries today, and they say the cold weather only changes the way people enjoy their drinks rather than stops traffic all together. It's common for private parties and scheduled tasting to become go-to events throughout Winter. During the months of January and February, wineries say red wine and chocolates are big sellers.

"Red wine and chocolates have been a tradition which started in the Yakima Valley. Columbia Valley piggy backed it and has seen growth ever since," Anelare Winery's Forrest Alexander said.
