Hanauer Says He Could See Himself on the Ice

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. -- Legendary hydro driver Chip Hanauer was there to watch the Ams finish first in their 5-0 win over Chilliwack Sunday night.

The second winnningest driver in hydro history was there to sign autographs, hang out with fans, and get a little Zamboni trianing.

Hanauer says if he hadn't been a famous hydro driver, he could have seen himself on the ice.

"I think if I hadn't been a race driver, being a hockey goalie would have been wonderful," said Hanauer. "I know very little about the game but it looks to me like being a hockey goalie would be one of the hardest things to do in sports."
