Man pleads guilty in beating death of fellow Yakima County Jail inmate
YAKIMA, Wash. - Jason Roberts takes a plea deal for a deadly attack that happened at the Yakima County Jail in August of 2007.
Roberts is one of several accused in the beating death of Yakima County inmate Damien Long. Roberts plead guilty to second degree manslaughter, in return he'll testify against the other suspects in the case.
Long was killed in what police have called a planned attack, he was beaten and later died from internal bleeding according to court testimony. Roberts' sentencing is scheduled for February 22nd.
