DOL launches self-service option

Posted: Updated:

KENNEWICK, Wash. The Department of Licensing is making it easier for people to find and use online service options. The most current option allows customers to buy a copy of their driving record online. Each year more than 200,000 Washington drivers purchase copies of their driving record.

Other self service options include renewing vehicle tabs and licenses. You can also change your personal or business address. "We have been adding new online services over the past few years and we are trying to make as many of our services possible, available over the Internet so people can skip a trip and not have to come to the office," DOL Spokesperson Brad Benfield said.

The DOL is also using social media sites to help connect with the next generation of customers. Currently they are using blogs, Youtube and Facebook. DOL is using these social media tools to provide new ways to get useful information about the agency.
