Kennewick Man Having Trouble Getting to Haiti to Help
KENNEWICK, Wash;--With all that is happening in Haiti, we have seen an outpouring of support from all over the world, and right here in the Tri-Cities.
The City Church in Kennewick partners with World Harvest Mission to provide the most basic of essentials to the people of Haiti. 22-year-old Brandon Gregory has helped in Haiti and other third world countries before and now feels called to help once more.
But with many flights into Haiti being canceled, and available flights costing nearly one thousand dollars per person, going to help is proving to be more difficult then Gregory originally thought.
"Really we've been scrambling, calling non-stop, making all the calls we can to find people that would be willing not only to enable us to be there, but to be able to send us with enough money so that we can be effective while we're down there."
Brandon is still trying to raise money to help pay for the plane ticket that will cost about a thousand dollars. If you would like to help, the City Church in Kennewick is hosting a luncheon at 11:30 this Sunday to help send Brandon, and his group to Haiti.
