SPOKANE, Wash. -- The Gonzaga Bulldogs glad to get out of the planes, trains, and automobiles they saw on the road and back to their home floor.
It's been a long time since the Bulldogs played a game in Spokane. In fact, they haven't played a home game this month! But, they're finally back in town this week.
The Bulldogs will play host to the Pepperdine Waves Thursday night. Pepperdine comes into the matchup a surprising 3-0 in WCC play, putting the early season lead in the conference at stake.
"It's always nice coming out and playing in front of our fans, really nice not to travel," said Gonzaga Guard Matt Bouldin. "Travel takes a toll on you to some extent, especially as much as we've been doing. We haven't played a home game for quite a while and I think all the guys are pretty excited to be back."
"It does feel good," said Guard Demetri Goodson. "After that long road trip, it's kind of good to be back and play in front of our fans."
