Union Gap, Wash -- A school is put in lockdown Friday afternoon after reports of a weapon on Stanton Academy's campus.
Police responded to a weapon on the campus and a possible fight at the Airline Market at about 11:30am. They say the suspects fled onto South 10th Ave and were possibly armed. The school was already in lockdown at that point.
Police say two rival gang members got into an argument at the intersection of S 10th Ave and Whitman. One of the males (not from Stanton Academy) pulled up his shirt revealing what was described as the handle to a pistol tucked into his waistband.
No shots were fired and the reported firearm was not located.
Two adult males were detained reference the incident and later released.
